Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is the standard material for beverage bottles and thermoformed packaging thanks to its clarity, gas barrier and strength. Bottle grade and sheet/thermoforming grade are supplied separately; R-PET options are available.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does the IV value matter?
Intrinsic viscosity reflects molecular weight. High IV (0.80+) is preferred for carbonated bottles, medium (0.76–0.80) for water, lower for sheet.
Must PET be dried before processing?
Yes. PET absorbs moisture; processing it wet lowers IV and makes the product brittle. Moisture ≤ 50 ppm is recommended.
Is food-approved R-PET available?
Yes, we can supply food-contact-approved R-PET grades; simply state it in your request.
